Your Horoscope of Birth
Your horoscope of birth is the blueprint of your personality and
character as indicated by the position of the Sun, the Moon and the
eight planets on the date of your birth. This section is devoted to each
of these members of the solar system.
The planets are the antennae and arms of the horoscope,
of which the body and soul are the Sun and Moon. No planet will ever
cause you to act counter to the testimony of the Sun and Moon in their
combined influence on you. Remember this when you proceed with the
following readings. All planetary vibration must be considered in light
of the basic solar-lunar readings, for these are your character, your
basic nature, which the planets will help or hinder but cannot
materially change.
According to the sign position of your Sun, one planet
will be more important than the others and should probably be read
first. Your Sun is in Leo and your dominant planet is the Sun (also Mars
and Jupiter). Not only the action of this ruling planet will be very
important in your life, but also the attribute over which it rules. Thus
Gemini, ruled by Mercury, lives a great deal in the senses; Libra, ruled
by Venus, responds most readily to emotional stimuli; and so on. Study
your ruler carefully.
Remember in all planetary readings that they work within
the pattern of your solar-lunar nature; never against it. The synthesis
of your horoscope from the following series of paragraphs to a working
unit depends on your keeping this in mind, which will enable you to weld
all the readings into a unified and significant whole.
Sun in Leo and Moon in Aries
(You belong to the positive or executive group.)
This is a position of exceptional courage. Your life
develops rapidly, for there is nothing in the world you are afraid of,
and your intense emotional and physical drive carries you into new
adventure, new love, new experience very early in life. In a man's
horoscope this is the sign of a a strong leader, both in thought and
action, capable of holding down high executive positions and by courage
and integrity usually "getting there." In a woman's horoscope
the intensity, drive, and lack of fear is more likely to be translated
into an active love-life, scornful of the conventions, or in some way
willing to give all for love. In both sexes, as a matter of fact, the
personal note is too strong at the beginning; personal loyalties,
personal loves, strictly personal and self centered aims injure, at the
outset, the scope of this configuration. You have to learn detachment,
objectivity and intellectual approach, for when you have done this your
worth stands a much better chance of being recognized in the world of
affairs.
You are capable of becoming a leader, but on the way,
you'll indulge in a good deal of hero-worship, translating your ardent
love-nature into an idealistic concept of right-living as you see it in
one person whom you strive to emulate. You can love a person and
disagree with him violently, without letting the two sides of your
nature interfere with each other. You are strong for duty, justice,
truth and can give your life to these ideals; you are a fighter, and
will never be found on the mean, petty, or sophistic side of a debate.
Your magnetism is the product of your energies, and makes you felt in
whatever circle you move. You are a devoted sweetheart, a loyal friend,
a sympathetic and intelligent boss, a stern but just executive.
With your Jupiter conjunct Uranus no heights are too
great for you. "Excelsior" is your motto and you do not fail
to live up to it.
Sun
The Sun indicates the appearance you will present before
the world and the psychological bias which will dominate your actions.
What you seem, and why, are told in the reading for your Sun. In many
ways the Sun is the dominant force in your horoscope and in your life.
Other influences, especially that of the Moon, may modify the Sun's
influence, but nothing will cause you to depart very far from the basic
solar pattern. For this reason a whole literature and a whole business
have grown up around Sun-sign astrology; and many people exist who think
there is nothing more to the horoscope than knowing what "sign you
were born in" and what the Sun in that sign means. This is a
mistake, as you will discover when you have read the influence of the
other bodies. But throughout your reading, keep in mind always the basic
influence of the Sun, and remember that all other influences must be
interpreted in terms of it, especially in so far as other influences
play a visible role in your life. You may think, dream, imagine, hope to
be a thousand things, according to your Moon and your other planets, but
the Sun is what you are, and to be your best self in terms of your Sun
is to cause your energies to work along the path in which they will have
maximum help from planetary vibrations.
Sun in Leo
The mainspring of Leo's great energy, vitality and charm
is his instinctive desire for both public acclaim and self-approval. Of
all the signs, Leo is perhaps the most aware of himself; in a sense he
is always before the looking glass, seeing what effect he is making. In
shallow types this makes for mere vanity, pompousness, pride. Add
profundity, and all this is changed. Your best Leo type is earnest,
sincere, eager to please himself and the world around him and willing,
in order to do so, to take on infinite work and go to infinite trouble.
He is not genuinely introspective; he has little capacity to discover
his inner faults; but he is very sensitive to the effect he makes on
others, and studies therefore what to do to make a better effect. There
is a difference here from self-analysis to improve character from the
inside, but the difference is in method rather than in result.
For Leo, in the process of appearing something
desirable, actually becomes something desirable. He knows instinctively
the wisdom of the advice Hamlet gave his mother: "Assume a virtue
if you have it not". By assuming the appearance of a virtue for the
sake of winning approval, he actually acquires the virtue itself, for he
is the soul of truth and cannot behave as he doesn't feel. He thus
removes the curse from his play acting, for his sense of the dramatic is
strong, and the roles he assumes are noble. This would be unbearable if
in the process Leo did not actually become noble - but he does; some of
the greatest spirits who have ever walked the earth are these very Leos
who chose for themselves a high role in which to merit the world's
approval, lived up to the role, and actually became what they wanted to
be admired for. "Such a price do the gods exact for a song, to
become what we sing." Whether he is found in business, on the stage
(and he often is), or in a love affair (where also he often is), Leo is
acutely aware of himself, always standing off and appraising the effect
he is making. He will usually be found, if not conventional, at least
discreet. Self-approval replaces conscience; he'll do anything if he
thinks it is right, and will brave public opinion if his self-approval
is sufficiently important to outweigh the loss of public approval.
However he behaves, you can rest assured that he is always acutely aware
of what people are thinking of him and that he is striving to make them
think as well as possible.
Following are the aspects to your Sun. In a general way,
the trines and sextiles to your Sun make ease, contentment, happiness,
luck; while squares and oppositions give you energy, drive, success,
ambition. Conjunctions bring both energy and luck, and are translatable
in terms of whether the Sun receives squares or trines, along with the
conjunction. Similarly, squares and trines to the Sun together bring
success through work and perseverance, and luck develops in proportion
to the work done and the effort extended.
Sun Conjunct Mercury Orb: 03°50'
You have a sound mentality. along whatever lines you
work you are fundamentally sane. Even with the erratic aspect, Saturn
square Uranus and Uranus square Neptune, which makes for nervousness,
you have a hitching post of normalcy. Men and women with this aspect
have an assurance against serious or permanent mental difficulties which
will carry them through a whole lot of stress and bring them out the
right side. Stubbornness is marked, and you are a tough customer to make
change your mind once you have it made up. You are studious and sound in
your intellectual work, but this position does not in itself make for
creative ability. This will make for perseverance - the ability to add
the ninety-nine percent of perspiration to genius's one percent of
inspiration.
Sun Trine Mars Orb: 03°28'
You have abundant physical vitality and little hesitancy
in using it. You are always on the move. Your aims and purposes, being
direct and clear and animated by a good physical equipment, carry you to
success. You are forceful, hard-hitting, aggressive, knowing where you
stand and where you are going. You wear out less energetic souls by the
speed and continuous level of your activities, for you are seemingly
tireless and can stand shoulder to shoulder with the strongest when it
comes to matters of endurance. Since a good deal of the success of this
world in material matters depends on physical vitality, you have an edge
on competitors. You are an excellent leader not so much of thought as of
action (unless Mercury is powerful) and frequently choose the army or
navy as your field of activity, where you speedily rise to authority; or
business, where you won't long stay in a subordinate position. You
overwhelm people, and they naturally give way to you.
Sun Sextile Saturn Orb: 09°23'
You are lucky, coming of good stock and being born into
a favorable environment. Elders have done a good deal for you, and no
matter how poor your parents may have been or how rich, they have seen
to it that responsibility was removed from you as much as possible and
that the hardships of life did not touch you. You have a good sound body
and mind. You are serious without being dejected or depressed, and are
capable of concentrated effort. Look out, there is a tendency to
relaxation and absence of direction and purpose - luck helps you out,
but you don't seize or create opportunities. The tendency of this aspect
is to smugness and self-satisfaction, pride and relaxation of ambition
and energies, so that, despite a sound mind in a sound body, you don't
seem to get very far. You have lots of luck with very little effort;
maximum return for minimum work, and material security.
Sun Sextile Neptune Orb: 00°54'
Your emotional and intellectual sides are nicely blended
and give you a good deal of quiet charm and magnetism. Your intuitions
are strong, and your critical faculties are aided by innate good taste.
You are likely to have the wish to create artistically, but this aspect
alone will not bring the power, though if other aspects to the Sun,
Moon, Venus, and Mercury show creative powers, this will materially aid
their expression and help to bring recognition. You have in any case a
genuine appreciation for beauty, poetry, and music and will be found
among the patrons of art galleries, operas, concerts, and the theater.
This aspect also supports the health and aids the general material
welfare.
Sun Conjunct Pluto Orb: 00°01'
Your reactions to situations are extreme: What you love,
you can make the center of your life and attention; what you hate, you
either totally ignore or fiercely attack. You cling tenaciously to any
person, idea or object which stirs an emotion within you - hatred as
well as love. Although you want to experience as much of life as you
can, you are apt to react defensively to the world around you; you build
walls which keep others from knowing you and your feelings in any depth.
Power, over yourself and/or others, could become your primary concern -
whatever your sphere in life, you aren't likely to take a back seat to
anyone. With this aspect, both the positive and the negative traits of
the Sun sign are amplified and broadcast to the world. Because of this,
you find it difficult to make changes and may resist them even when
circumstances would force someone else to adjust.
Moon
While the Sun's position by sign determines what motives
and urges dominate your life as it meets the naked eye, the sign
position of the Moon tells the desire of your heart which may or may not
be expressed or realized in your life. When you "know what you mean
but you can't say it," it is your Moon that knows it and your Sun
that can't say it. "Thoughts that do often lie too deep for
tears" are the thoughts of your Moon's nature. The wordless
ecstasy, the mute sorrow, the secret dream, the esoteric picture of
yourself that you can't get across to the world, or which the world
doesn't comprehend or value - these are the products of the Moon in your
horoscope. When you are misunderstood, it is your Moon nature, expressed
imperfectly through the Sun sign, that you feel is betrayed. When you
know what you ought to do, but can't find the right way to do it, it is
your Moon that knows and your Sun that refuses to react in harmony.
Also, when you "don't know why I said that," it was your Moon
expressing despite your Sun (if you are innerly satisfied with the
involuntary speech), or the Sun expressing against the will of the Moon
(if you are displeased with what has slipped out). Things you know
without thought - intuitions, hunches, instincts - are the products of
the Moon. Modes of expression that you feel are truly your deepest self
belong to the Moon: art, letters, creative work of any kind; sometimes
love; sometimes business. Whatever you feel is most deeply yourself,
whether or not you are able to do anything about it in the outer world,
is the product of your Moon and of the sign your Moon occupies at birth.
Moon in Aries
You are best satisfied by a picture of yourself as an
independent thinker, a mental force, a person of intellectual or
physical daring and courage. The truth is important to you - the truth,
that is, as you see it individualistically, which may or may not bear a
relation to proven facts. Your message to yourself is: Be strong, be
forceful, be independent, be brave; and so powerful is this lunar
position that you are likely to become these things in some degree even
if your Sun sign tries to make you a Caspar Milquetoast. The meek and
mild gentleman with the bar of steel inside him very likely has Moon in
Aries; likewise the sweet lady who looks as if butter wouldn't melt in
her mouth and nevertheless rules her husband ruthlessly. This is one of
the positions in which the Moon can be strong enough to take the
dominance of the nature away from the Sun and cause you actually to
become in the outer world what you imagine yourself to be. You may do
this slowly, with quiet firmness, or swiftly, with bluster and
braggadocio. You think well of yourself, and any trend to inferiority
feeling indicated elsewhere in the horoscope is more than likely to meet
its match here. This is a weak position only if the Sun is in Libra, in
which case the dictates of the Sun must be followed and the lunar
instincts ignored. In any case, the studious development of mental
powers, through formal education and a willingness to use your mind
power to rule yourself rather than to rule others, is essential to your
success and happiness.
Following are the aspects to your Moon. Look to the
trines and sextiles to give you charm and clear-thinking; and to the
squares and oppositions to provide you with concentration and driving
force.
Moon Trine Mercury Orb: 06°31'
This is a good aspect for sound common sense,
strengthening the sanity of the mind and giving you the power to absorb
knowledge readily and quickly. You are inquisitive, eager, intelligent,
an apt student, and a good conversationalist, witty and apt in
expression, logical and reasonable. You have some adaptability for
business, especially salesmanship. You can succeed in one of the
"vocal" occupations, such as speaking or radio announcing. You
have manual aptitude and can do things with your hands, although you'd
rather use your mind. Through cleverness you can generally succeed in
life without too much hard work for you're a good talker and can sell
yourself as well as your product, which eases the road for you.
Moon Opposite Venus Orb: 04°28'
This aspect doesn't make you very sociable and is likely
to impair popularity by making you scornful of the things that have to
be done to achieve it. Your attitude is that you just won't be bothered
- if they want you, let them come for you. You have to learn to go out
of your way more for people. The truth of the matter is that you are
sensitive, have a sort of inferiority complex about your popularity, and
dread the idea of pushing yourself forward, with the result that
periodically, through sheer discouragement, you push yourself in the
wrong way and at the wrong time. Look around you at the people who are
well liked and try to take a leaf from their book. This is a difficult
aspect for material matters, for you spend money foolishly, and have to
cultivate good business sense. You are a real spendthrift at heart;
getting rid of money amounts to a genius with you. You are emotionally
temperamental and can weep buckets when you are hurt, or when you
realize you've hurt someone else; for you are gentle, and wouldn't
willfully hurt anyone. But for all that, you do.
Moon Square Jupiter Orb: 04°38'
You are optimistic with respect to financial matters.
You have a feeling that the purse will always be full, and the
extravagance resulting therefrom may become dangerous to your security.
This is especailly so. If other aspects show material success and
well-being, you have a cavalier attitude toward expenses and love to
spend. This is a Falstaffian position - there's a hankering for rich and
fancy food, a tendency to eat too much of it, and an accompanying danger
of fleshiness, diabetes, gout, blood disorders. This is one of the
aspects of indulgence. You are sunny and open-hearted, tolerant of other
people and of yourself as well; a kind of happy-go-lucky individual,
taking people as you find them, and consequently popular. You usually
have some share of the world's goods, though this doesn't in itself make
for security - money comes in and goes out without causing you much
worry or trouble, but, it does not get saved very consistently.
Moon Opposite Neptune Orb: 09°27'
This impairs the creative gifts, and your manner of
thought and expression, intruding an unrealistic note into your notions
and confusing practical issue with hazy and misty generalizations. In
business, thought, romance, you have to keep your feet on the ground,
for you love the clouds. You are capable of daydreaming by the hour and
of concocting brave plans that would be marvelous - if you or anyone
else could make them happen. This adds a sort of naive charm to your
nature. You can believe in fairies, Santa Claus and ghosts, just as
others can believe in Herbert Hoover, and your perpetual love for the
mystic will intrigue those who love the innocent, the childish, the
unspoiled. But all this doesn't help you much in the world of affairs,
and an impractical approach to many things will stand in the way of your
progress until such a time as you get your feet on the ground and hitch
your wagon to a fence post.
Mercury
Mercury is the sense-impression antennae of your
horoscope. His position by sign indicates your reactions to sights,
sounds, odors, tastes and touch impressions, affording a key to the
attitude you have toward the physical world around you. Mercury is the
messenger through which your physical body and brain (the Sun) and your
inner nature (the Moon) are kept in contact with the outer world, which
will appear to you according to the index of Mercury's position by sign
in the horoscope.
Mercury in Leo
Your reaction to sense impressions from the outer world
is less important than the way you react to the sound of your own voice,
the figure you are cutting in the world. You see yourself in everything
you see. You're hard to impress, for though you are detached enough in
some ways, you haven't got your antennae tuned outward and just don't
take in a lot that goes on. Your viewpoint is pretty fixed, and what
comes to the senses is related to it. For this reason you aren't a very
good observer. The outer world of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch
has to fight its way through a sort of steel plate before it reaches the
brain centers and causes a reaction. Your reactions are slow, not
because you are stupid, but because you aren't interested. You must
cultivate attention, become consciously aware of the world around you,
and develop your faculties, which are sound enough but need more
exercise than you give them.
Mercury Trine Mars Orb: 07°18'
You have a facile quick mind, capable of grasping
scientific facts and interested in them. But there's a good deal of a
tendency to wasting your mental energies through lack of purpose,
direction, and concentrative faculties. If other things show
concentration, then this adds to the facility; if not, you'll have to
fight against a tendency to skim the surface. A temptation to live by
your wits is always present. If you hold yourself to a purpose your road
to success is eased by quickness, perception, and ready grasp of
details.
Mercury Sextile Neptune Orb: 02°56'
This aids intuition and reasoning powers; and with other
indications of creative and concentrative gifts lends an inspirational
quality to the work. If no creative power is shown this aspect is
unimportant, giving balance to the mind, glibness and facility to the
speech, and lending charm to the voice. You have a kind of detached and
abstract viewpoint on knowledge, loving it for its own sake. You are
thus anxious to satisfy your intellectual curiosity even with odds and
ends of information that you may never use. It helps the memory and
makes you a good story teller, for you don't forget much, and something
is always reminding you.
Mercury Conjunct Pluto Orb: 03°49'
You are fascinated by the enigmatic or bizarre, and your
thinking is geared to gaining a deep understanding of the mysteries of
life. Because of this, you are a natural researcher and student of the
occult, the sciences, psychology and astrology. You aren't satisfied by
the dogmas or theories that others are content with; your search is for
a personal truth, a notion of your place in the cosmos. Although you are
secretive by nature, there is nothing that gives you more pleasure than
digging into other people's secrets. Your determination helps you to
learn a subject in considerable depth or to get to the bottom of
neighborhood gossip. Psychic abilities are a possibility.
Venus
Venus is the emotional antenna of your horoscope.
Through Venus, impressions come to you from the outer world because of
which you feel and react emotionally. The position of Venus by sign at
the time of your birth gives the key to your attitude toward these
emotional experiences. As Mercury is the messenger linking sense
impressions (sight, smell, etc.) to the basic nature of your Sun and
Moon, so Venus is the messenger linking emotional impressions.
Venus in Libra
Your emotions are simple, direct, crystal clear. You are
one of the young and pure in heart. The difficulties of life don't
destroy your faith in the beauty of love, and since this is the sort of
faith that vindicates itself, you are likely to find more genuine
happiness in life than most. You are easily hurt, but you aren't touchy
about it; you can't hold a grudge, or even condemn those who hurt you.
You have a knack for thinking the best of people who repay you by
thinking the best of you. The directness of your response to social
relations, the genuineness of your affections, which you express with a
combination of sincerity and impersonality - these endear you to many,
make you a sought-after companion and guest and a charming host or
hostess. You can safely allow emotional experience to be the breath of
your life because when it is filtered through your clarifying responses
it is a pure, sweet and exhilarating air.
Venus Square Jupiter Orb: 09°06'
You have an expansive emotional nature; what you lack in
intensity you make up in variety. You are extravagant, with both your
affections and your finances. You aren't a good manager of funds and
spend freely for love or for pleasure. If you are a man gold-diggers
find you easy prey; and if you are a woman your vanity proves expensive.
This is a somewhat idealistic position, heightening the love-nature and
giving you a curious sort of ideology with respect to love.
Mars
Mars is the energy principle in the horoscope. His
position by sign indicates the channels into which energy will naturally
flow, and the uses to which energy will most easily be directed. It is
the planet through which the activities of the Sun and the desires of
the Moon express in action - through which your body and your mind react
to the sense impressions of Mercury and the emotional impressions of
Venus.
Mars in Sagittarius
You lead your energies into physical channels. Exercise
is important to you; vigorous activity helps both body and brain. Any
tendency to become studious or bookish will have an admirable balance
here, for this is one of the most vital positions of Mars, leading to
proficiency in sports and a love for games and contests of all kinds.
You're a gracious winner, a cheerful loser: the excitement of the game
itself is as important to you as winning. This detachment of spirit
carries over from the realm of sports into the realm of learning, and
you are capable of high scholastic achievement, more likely in
belles-lettres than in science. You love to generalize, and may be irked
by the details of life: a love of order is not usual with this position
of Mars, and must be studiously cultivated. A kind of haphazard,
slapdash way of going at things should also be overcome - you try to
move faster than possible sometimes, and trip over things or over your
own feet. For this reason you have to be careful of accidents. Also, you
have to beware that, by keeping your eyes fixed on high and far off
things, you don't miss the essentials of life. All well enough to have
your head in the clouds, if your feet don't stumble on the path. Many
things are forgiven you because of the loftiness of your aims; but you
should never forgive yourself for failure because your aim is high.
Remember that the hill of dreams has its base in the earth, and that
anyone who would reach the top must first fight his way through the
brambles on the lower pathways.
Mars Sextile Saturn Orb: 05°55'
You are a builder, willing to start at the bottom of a
career and work your way deliberately to the top. There's nothing flimsy
about the structure you build. This may make you an actual architect, or
it may make you figuratively an architect of your own fate, laying your
plans far in advance, and working soundly for their accomplishment. You
have an excellent balance of boldness and reticence, aggressiveness and
tact. You know when to fight and when to run away, when to push your
affairs and when to let them bide their time. Your great asset is a
sense of balance and proportion. Your judgment is excellent, and you
always know where you are going and how each brick, however small, is
going to fit into the eventual product.
This is one of the best of all aspects (except those to
the Sun and Moon) for self-reliance, progress, and sound success, the
extent and nature of which will depend on other indications. But as
insurance that your energies will find constructive and progressive
outlet, you wouldn't want anything better than this.
Mars Sextile Neptune Orb: 04°23'
You have marked personal magnetism. opportunities open
up to you readily. You have a somewhat mystical, spiritual, or religious
nature - a degree of superstition, and a belief in your internal powers.
This frequently accompanies belief in Christian Science, Unity, or cults
that deal in mind power. It isn't a very important aspect in itself but
it lends color to your personality and sharpens your aesthetic and
artistic senses. You control people by charming them. A mildly hypnotic
power of which you may not be conscious assists all human relationships.
You rely a good deal on hunches, especially about people. 'If this
aspect is accompanied by strong and reasonable mental tendencies you may
not even be conscious of its action, but rest assured it is responsible
for the quickness of your insight, reasoning powers, and general mental
astuteness. It eases the course of emotional matters somewhat; it is a
passive rather than an active ally to accomplishment in all fields.
Mars Trine Pluto Orb: 03°29'
You work like a detective or researcher, taking an idea
or project and pursuing it until your understanding has penetrated to
its core. You may not react quickly and there are times when you don't
act at all; what is important to you is effectiveness and efficiency. If
anyone can find the shortest distance between two points, it is you.
This isn't an index of laziness; it is a measure of your desire not to
waste time, energy or resources.
Jupiter
Jupiter is the feeler you have out in the world for
opportunity. Through it the chances of a lifetime are passed along for
consideration according to the basic nature of Sun and Moon. Jupiter's
sign position indicates the places in which you will look for
opportunity, the uses to which you wish to put it, and the capacity you
have to react to and profit by it. Jupiter is ordinarily, and
erroneously, called the Planet of Luck. It is "luck" in so far
as it is the index of opportunity; but your luck depends less on what
comes to you (Jupiter) than on what you do with it (the total
personality). Opportunity appeals to you along lines laid down by your
Jupiter.
Jupiter in Cancer
This position causes you to see opportunity along lines
that promote security and luxury, and is therefore an excellent
business, money-making position. You aren't grasping, but you are
careful, because your wants are comparatively great, and you strive in
every way you can to satisfy them. The final end of opportunity is to
you a pleasantly furnished home with all the trimmings of luxury, and
one way or another you will generally have it. You will not see
opportunity along lines that jeopardize this, and play your hand close
to your chest, even when you may appear to be daring. You have just as
much regard for the security and comfort of others as you have for your
own, and thus are generous, charitable and openhanded with what you
possess. Home, children, friends are important, and in gratifying this
side of your ego, you are likely to become a substantial and respectable
pillar of the society whose niceties you value and want for your own.
Jupiter Conjunct Uranus Orb: 06°18'
You have a certain amount of material luck, and do well
in large enterprises - government, railroading, large corporations - for
this is an aspect of Big Business. You are an organizer, a planner, and
a doer. The fact that your most practical plans have a touch of high
idealism lends force to your authority. You are philosophical, capable
of objectivity and detachment. You think in great sweeps and express
yourself in the grand manner. As an orator you have the power to sway
audiences both with the scope of your thought and with your manner of
expression. This aspect, though it does little of itself, lends force to
an aggressive horoscope, heightens the possibility of recognition, and
gives you luck and prestige as well as the possibility of sudden and
unexpected gains.
Jupiter Square Neptune Orb: 04°48'
You are a good deal of a visionary, idealistic in
matters of philosophy and religion, with a kind of nebulous and unsound
approach to abstract matters. You are capable of believing in things
that never were on land or sea. A strata of mysticism underlies your
thinking, a mist of unreality gets between your eyes and the outer
world. Concrete evidence should be your constant aim, and you should
forget the Pauline definition of faith as "the evidence of things
unseen," for you are all too prone to believe and must cultivate
skepticism. In material and personal matters this makes you pretty
gullible, and, unless other indications show a marked degree of
suspicion and shrewdness, this will get you into trouble and cause
losses. Even with the most practical of indications you will have
periodic fits of playing hunches or inspirations that will be costly.
Stay away from seances, spiritualism, abstract philosophy, and religion,
and pin your thinking, your emotions, and your business strictly down to
earth.
Saturn
Saturn indicates the direction that will be taken in
life by the self-preservative principle which, in its highest
manifestation, ceases to be purely defensive and becomes ambitious and
aspirational. Your defense, or attack, against the world is shown by the
sign position of Saturn in the horoscope of birth.
Saturn in Scorpio
This position is an index of a complex personality. Your
defense mechanism works deep below the level of consciousness on the
primal instincts and urges; your battle with life goes on within
yourself continuously, even when you are unaware of it. Your thoughts,
words, acts are almost automatically determined for you. You have to
train yourself to know your own motives and to bring into the light of
reason the urges behind what you do. The reproductive urge is directly
linked with the self-preservation instinct, and you will seek for
security in sex fulfillment and therefore marriage. But your defenses
are up against yielding yourself to anyone else, and this stands in the
way of sex and married harmony, and perhaps causes you to replace the
love instinct with something more sensational that gratifies
superficially without demanding as much of the whole personality.
Because self-justification joins with these deep primal instincts, you
are very suspicious and wary about almost everything and can be, among
other things, a demon of jealousy. Your constant struggle is wearing,
because you want the maximum of self-justification with the minimum of
self-yielding. If true success demands too much, you are capable of
giving up the struggle entirely, of denying the urge for
self-preservation and self-justification utterly, rather than yield your
inner self to get it. You must strive not to take yourself so seriously,
to compete with life on its own terms, and to realize that before you
can vindicate the self that is so important to you, you must both know
yourself and permit yourself to be known by others. They can't applaud
you if you hide your light under a bushel, nor can they feel your
strength when it is all working inside.
Saturn Square Uranus Orb: 08°47'
You are a pioneer and in some way an eccentric,
independent in thought and action. Your independence doesn't work very
strongly for your success, and you have to learn cooperation, tact, and
diplomacy. In a horoscope that shows inventiveness, originality, and
executive force, this increases those traits adding a note of
quarrelsomeness, but none the less making you a strong and influential
character. You are forceful in an electric sort of way and impress
people even when they don't like your manner or your methods. You have a
peculiarly destructive temper - destructive to yourself chiefly - and
must guard against the temperament that underlies your disposition.
Saturn Sextile Pluto Orb: 09°24'
You are an efficient, diligent worker whose stamina and
stick-to-it-iveness keeps you plugging away until you achieve your
ambitions. You try to maintain the status quo, using your excellent
organizing abilities to find more efficient work methods. Discipline and
hard work come naturally, but a more creative approach may have to be
cultivated.
Uranus
Uranus in a general way relates to the neuro-mentality,
creative originality or individuality, and his position by sign in the
horoscope tells the direction along which you will seek to express your
most characteristic self in creative and original effort. With Uranus in
the same sign with Jupiter, Uranus indicates opportunity, creates wealth
and the means of getting it, along with inventiveness, daring, and
executive ability.
Uranus in Cancer
Your genius is exerted along lines of material
expansion. Inventions increase your comfort, and the wonder of new
things suddenly becoming familiar influences you greatly. Your
originality finds its most characteristic expression in seeking security
in change and improvement; you are restless, a pioneer eager to move
your home (literally or figuratively) onward to new frontiers, never so
happy as when you are applying your individualism to an upheaval of some
sort, as a result of which you see living conditions bettered. Plenty of
unsettlement has accompanied your life as a result of this urge to go
upward and onward. However, the adventurous spirit has been yours, and
even if your impatient genius has upset your world, you wouldn't live
your life any other way.
Uranus Square Neptune Orb: 01°30'
This position, because of the slow motion of the two
planets involved, lasts for many years at a time and consequently
influences many people. It is the aspect of the so called "Younger
Generation" that ran rampant right after the World War overturning
law, order, and especially personal morality, and creating a new social
order on the ashes of an old one. It is the aspect of Rebellion, and its
relationship to your planets has been dealt with in the "with"
passages of your horoscope. It makes pioneers in thought and action,
individualists who think things through for themselves with a peculiarly
ritualistic sense of their own special importance in the scheme of
things and a broad social outlook at the same time. It is an aspect of
idealism which has a strong touch of earth in it and a practical note
underlies even your most visionary opinion. In itself, unless activated
by other aspects, this will not be felt in your life but in an executive
and aggressive horoscope this lends flavor to the personality, courage
and independence, and warns you against the faults of these virtues,
which are rashness, indiscretion, and tactlessness.
Neptune
Neptune relates to the deepest wells of the
subconscious, inherited mentality and spirituality, indicating what you
take deeply for granted in life. With Neptune in the same sign with
Venus, one has idealistic and romantic (or sentimental) reaction to
emotional experience, danger of sensationalism and love of strange
pleasures.
Neptune in Libra
This position of Neptune brought reaction from the
depression and dictator years, launched the world on its new era. The
children born under this position will have a broad and idealistic
outlook on the world. They will take for granted a kind of cooperative
enterprise that may be novel to their elders; and will express
themselves naturally, in word and deed, in ways that may seem
cloud-treading and too idealistic to the more earth-bound. A conviction
that individuality is best served by self-respecting alignment with
others pervades their thinking and governs their lives; and this
conviction is more than something reasoned out logically, for it is
drawn from the deep wells of instinct and intuition, below the level of
consciousness. In the social world Neptune in Libra gives grace, charm
and noblesse oblige: the sense of obligation and responsibility
attaching to nobility of spirit. It makes its natives gentle,
affectionate, idealistic, artistic; it enhances any creative gifts; and
makes one a lover of peace, harmony, and personal progress through
cooperative as well as individual endeavor.
Neptune Sextile Pluto Orb: 00°54'
The ideas that were instilled in you by your parents,
church and society will undergo changes throughout your life until your
religious and philosophical views are distinctly your own. This type of
creative adaptability makes you able to forgo selfish concerns and
direct your efforts toward the betterment of all. Artistic and/or
psychic talents are possible.
Pluto
Pluto relates to the ability to let go of things, to get
rid of irrelevant prejudices and outdated habit patterns. It relates to
subconscious feelings, inner urges and repressed emotions. A strong
Pluto gives the ability to see the hidden side of life, and thus bestows
power on the native - power which can be used for good or ill. In the
same sign as the Sun, Pluto gives a love of power and an ambitious,
ruthless nature. In the same sign as Mercury, Pluto signifies an
investigative, penetrating mind and the power to persuade others.
Pluto in Leo
Your search for ultimate meaning in life is linked with
your own ego. At first you will seek to learn exactly who you are and
what you mean to yourself. Although this approach may seem selfish, you
have the ability to then help others find their own meaning. You are
looking for your place in the greater whole - your immediate community
or the entire universe, depending on how you have allowed yourself to
grow. Although you understand the necessity of dissolving the ego's
boundaries, you may hold back from actually doing this.
Current and Special Events in Your Life
The current transits are calculated exactly for the date
shown, for only for the aspects that he considered to be the
most significant and only those are shown in this report. The
dates shown only represent the times when the aspect is exact;
its influence is felt for weeks, months, and sometimes even
years around this time. A planet will often make the same
aspect several times in one year before it leaves that area of
the zodiac and moves on. This is due to the planet appearing
to go backward or retrograde for a period of time and crossing
and recrossing the aspect point. When this happens the effect
of the aspect can be spread out over a considerable time and
in this report the aspect and text will be printed for each
time it becomes exact, although this series of aspects
represents only one pass through this phase of its cycle.
Remember that each transiting aspect is part of its over-all
cycle and indicates a change of direction as well as an event.
The cycle for a planet is the time it takes that planet to
travel the entire 360° of the zodiac, beginning at the point
where the planet is found at birth (the conjunction point),
moving to the 90° point which Lewi calls the "lower square",
then moving to the opposition or 180° point. Then it begins to
move back towards the starting point, at the 270° point, or
90° away from the starting point, the planet is at its "upper
square", and then it returns to the conjunction point where a
new cycle is begun. Lewi will occasionally refer to these
points in his text by name. In general all transits, whether
of a planet to its own place or of one planet to another, mark
cycles of growth beginning at the conjunction point, growing
through the first square, fully grown at the opposition point,
beginning to recede at the second or upper square, and finally
starting a new cycle as it reaches the conjunction point
again.
How long any aspect will be in effect is determined by the
speed of the planet making the aspect (the first planet , i.e.
Mars in Mars Opposite Sun). One Mars cycle is about two or two
and one-half years and so a Mars aspect will last about 20 to
30 days. Jupiter takes about 12 years for its cycle and so its
aspects could last around 4 months, while Saturn with a 29
year cycle will last 9 months or even more if it turns
retrograde. Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are all long range
aspects and usually represent a time of 2 or more years. While
Saturn and the outer planets indicate long range influences in
your life, Mars aspects will identify important months and
Jupiter will identify important years. Not every occurrence of
these will be of striking importance. But within a larger
Saturn cycle or Uranus period of great importance, these
briefer influences will be found to act as the second or
minute hand of the clock of destiny, as Saturn, or Uranus, or
both, act as the hour hand.
Dec 10, 2003 - Jupiter Conjunct
Jupiter
This transit marks a twelve-year cycle and a
period in which important plans and ideas are revised. It may
indicate big new steps, like marriage, business partnership,
independent or cooperative ventures that have long-term
implications. Note especially the occurrences at the
twenty-fourth and thirty-sixth years, which frequently
indicate the conclusion of one sort of life and the beginning
of another. Opportunity accumulates, and your response to it
is at its most characteristic; thus the development here suits
you down to the ground. The present time calls for
self-control since the existence of welcome opportunity is no
guarantee that you will handle it right. The knock of
opportunity is at the door - but you have to open the door and
concentrate on entering the guest, for the benefits that come
without effort go just as effortlessly if you don't hold onto
them. Note the nearby Saturn transit and make it your guide to
action in order to develop the opportunity of Jupiter.
Jan 10, 2004 - Mars Square Mercury
Quick speech, thought and actions make strife
and trouble. Be silent, cagey, noncommittal. The quick retort
makes trouble. Wrong decisions often come in one of these
periods, which recur about every six months and need careful
watching. Sometimes the most casual remark results in a
lasting grudge. Mountains (of trouble) grow out of molehills
(of speech). It is best to be silent.
Jan 20, 2004 - Mars Conjunct Moon
The urge to express yourself induces you to
express your most temperamental self. In emotional people this
marks, as it recurs every two years, some tension and inner
turmoil directly related to the inner self that they are
trying to express in the world. It leads to strife,
unconventionality, inner discord which transfers itself to the
outer world. It is an excellent time for a vacation or for
lying low and forcing no issues. Frequently the transit marks
ill health for yourself or your mate. The best result of this
transit is awakened and increased self-knowledge. One of these
periods in the life check-up will frequently mark a major
emotional experience that you have never forgotten. The inner
nature is brought rudely into contact with realities, and
false notions are stripped away, frequently with great
personal upheaval.

Jan 27, 2004 - Mars Conjunct Mars
This is a period when new starts should be
made, new plans put into execution, new ideas promoted.
Energies work along their most characteristic line and can be
utilized to excellent advantage. Control natural impulses if
you have any that get you into trouble, because now is the
time when you are "being yourself" and it is your business to
be your best self, not your worst. You are starting a two year
cycle and should establish the line you want to continue on
for the next twenty four months. Seek new contacts, new
avenues of self-expression, new channels into which to direct
talents and energies. Beware lest anger and temper - letting
go because you're feeling your oats - interfere with your best
development. In your life check-up you will find that these
recurrent two year periods marked with great consistency
periods of important decisions, developments, activity and
changes.
Jan 27, 2004 - Saturn Conjunct Saturn
This transit occurs twice during the normal
lifetime (three times if you live to be ninety) and at each
occurrence marks very deep and important changes. Its action
is always along similar lines, and its results are permanent
in their effects. It increases your awareness of conditions
that surround you; it sensitizes you to yourself and to the
world you live in; and it forces on you fundamental
realizations of your capacities, your limitations and your
opportunities. These realizations, arising from within
yourself, generally lead to a complete revision of ideas and
plans, so that by the time the aspect is passed you are a new
person, living a new life with a deeper purpose, and aiming at
a more thoroughly comprehended goal.
Saturn's transit of his own place is the most
important point at which free will operates in the life,
untrammeled and as free of circumstances as it ever will be.
Accept the obligations of this privilege: assume here and now
the mastery over life and over yourself that is yours for the
taking. You will not stand so free again. The choices you make
are yours: make them wisely, for here it is that your free
will in a very real sense forges your fate for a long time to
come, if not indeed for the rest of your life.
This is always a period of unforgettable
stress which climaxes from a year to eighteen months before
the actual contact of Saturn with his own place. The tension
may come from temperament, from illness - physical or nervous
- which in all probability has a psychological basis and is
merely the body's way of aiding and abetting the resentment of
the inner man against the unpalatable necessities of life that
are being impressed.
It does not pay to lay the blame at the door
of circumstances. These will seem harsh; but they are only the
reflection in the outer world of something within yourself
that needs revision. To get the most from this transit - to be
really, after its passage, one of the "twice-born" to whom
life is, forever after, a different and more exciting
adventure - you must shoulder the "blame" for everything that
happens to you. You must realize that it is not what happens
to you that counts, but your reaction to it and handling of
it. As a result of this transit you will either bog down under
the burden of the world (having failed to learn sufficiently
from experience) or you will throw out your chest in a new
pride and self-assurance and go forward to bigger and better
things. You may be sure that this is an important period and
that from it stems a new life, in which you are able to live
more freely and more efficiently directly in proportion to the
wholeheartedness with which you accept the revision of ideas
now presented to you.
Feb 14, 2004 - Mars Square Sun
This combination increases the importance of
worldly position and brings shifts in prestige, credit,
standing and publicity. Handle contacts with superiors
carefully. Can be a peak of accomplishment or the collapse of
hopes: it is in any case a climax, for good or bad, of career
matters. You should not force issues but should rather "relax
in the saddle of fate" and take what comes. Making demands,
insisting, becoming arrogant or stressing your "rights" will
only make trouble. Luck is with you, if you let it flow in its
own channels and at its own pace; it deserts you if you try to
hurry it or to force it beyond its normal bounds.
Mar 23, 2004 - Mars Square Uranus
This transit is not usually important except
as a marker of temperament and minor strife. But at one of
these periods some major break due to temperament - some
sudden shift in the pace and direction of the life - is likely
to occur. The individuality is suddenly awakened to broader
horizons, greater worlds to conquer, and determined to shake
off the shackles of restraint. In undisciplined persons this
will mark periodic temperament, rages, rebellion and strife;
also accidents and setbacks due to lack of nervous
coordination. In normally disciplined individuals all but one
or two of these periods should be comparatively inconspicuous.
But the one or two may be memorable and probably nothing to be
proud of.
Apr 14, 2004 - Mars Square Venus
Social and romantic glamour leads to excesses,
sometimes to strife, quarrels, separations. Minor loves and
friendships break up, but important relations are merely
strained; and indeed this frequently adds glamour to a deep
love, intensifying its beauty. A break here, unless
contributed to by some more important transit, is a sure index
that the feeling wasn't very deep or important anyway. Avoid
excess spending and stay away from temptation if you're
interested in sticking to the conventions.

Apr 18, 2004 - Mars Square Jupiter
This will generally not amount to much, but
periods of loss through risks or gambles or through
over-enthusiasm or bad business judgment are frequently marked
by it. The outlook is too enthusiastic to let sober reason
dominate; but this generally brings nothing but minor
extravagance. This transit might mark some major material
setback due to a combination of bad judgment and bad luck.
Apr 23, 2004 - Mars Opposite Pluto
This transit represents a strong alliance of
similar energies. A sense of mystery pervades otherwise
mundane events. Agressiveness peaks. Care should be taken to
secure your holding, protect your possessions and yourself,
for this transit includes some vulnerability to the principle
of redistribution. You might be knocked off your throne for no
apparent reason. You could emerge from this period thinking
the universe is a quixotic, capricious place, or you could
take events as keynotes of respect for structure and
self-care.
Sexual energy will be high. You could find
yourself surrounded by irresistible people, and the tendency
is to think that the veil between you and them is much thinner
than it really is. Take time to treat people respectfully.
Take this opportunity to de-objectify your world view and
adopt a more service-oriented demeanor. Depending on how
successfully you have mastered life's trials, this could be a
time of "icing on the cake". Just make sure the recipients of
your "death blows" are the nasty loitering ghosts in your own
psyche, not the people on the street whom these ghosts
resemble.
May 19, 2004 - Mars Conjunct Saturn
This is a good time to slow down and if you
don't do so voluntarily, you may be forced to do so by a cold
or some other type of illness. Do your duties quietly and
solidify the existing position in which you find yourself.
Superiors need kid-glove handling; you may feel hampered and
restrained in your work; your energies may be forced into a
yoke that chafes. Be philosophical about taking what comes;
passivity and acceptance rather than activity and aggression
serve you best. You build good, substantial foundations,
despite limitations; or else you kick over the traces and
probably regret it later. You may experience colds, low
vitality, fatigue, nerves, or your system may become run down.
Take a rest cure if you can. If you stay well, those around
you may be ill, increasing your responsibilities.
May 31, 2004 - Mars Opposite Mercury
Quick speech, thought and actions make strife
and trouble. Be silent, cagey, noncommittal. The quick retort
makes trouble. Wrong decisions often come in one of these
periods, which recur about every six months and need careful
watching. Sometimes the most casual remark results in a
lasting grudge. Mountains (of trouble) grow out of molehills
(of speech). It is best to be silent.
Jun 9, 2004 - Mars Square Moon
Fatigue leads to strife, so relax. There may
be illness and you may lose your grip on things. Refuse to
take yourself too seriously. Go to bed and rest instead of
brooding; you'll avoid strife and trouble thereby. Force no
issues. Energy may find its expression in some glamorous
romance which may or may not be important, depending on other
long-range transits in force at the same time with this.
Jun 17, 2004 - Mars Square Mars
This transit indicates a period of hard work
and abundant energies, which causes no trouble unless major
disruptive influences are in force. There is a slight tendency
to talk too much, boast and be arrogant, but the swiftness of
the pace generally carries you through without major trouble.
You should not let distractions interfere with plans you
started when Mars was conjunct Mars on Jan 27, 2004. Protect
health and nerves from excess; be objective and detached; and
let reason rule the emotions.
Jun 25, 2004 - Saturn Opposite Mercury
This aspect deepens mental processes,
providing concentrative powers for deep study and thought. It
is usually accompanied by some mild or acute melancholy and
depression, which work and self-discipline will minimize. Loss
of self-esteem is likely - the thought that you're no good
becomes acute. Keeping your mind on things outside yourself
helps. Study, reading and writing are excellent, though
creativeness and originality fail you. Don't worry must be
your motto; also Face the facts. Escapism leads into bad
nervous tangles. This is a good aspect to have while in school
or college, when opportunity for study is greatest and the
"cold, cold world" is not yet a reality that you have to
consider. Corning later when you're out in the "cold, cold
world," it indicates a period when you can return to the
student state to good advantage, putting your mind on
objective fact rather than on emotional concerns. Finances are
under tension; there is a need for budgets, restraint and
efficiency.
Jul 5, 2004 - Mars Opposite Sun
This transit is likely to mark periods of
quarrels, strife, disagreements, difficulty in getting along
with people. It is therefore a good time to lie low and be
silent; to observe and do your duty without argument or fuss.
Conserve strength: there is a tendency to go to extremes.
Adventuresomeness and romance run riot and kick up a lot of
trouble. New contacts are exciting but not necessarily of any
permanent worth. If other transits indicate a generally good
period, increased energy here can bring good results; under
negative transits you should lie as low as possible and avoid
getting into trouble. There may be accidents or illness.

Aug 11, 2004 - Saturn Square Moon
This is a period of some emotional stress,
perhaps a physical or material setback. Your personality
begins to work toward objectifying itself, and you are now
finding that you may lose something in the process. Not to
feel sorry for yourself is the chief prescription for this
period. What you will lose is mainly sentimentality - an
attitude toward yourself better forgotten. What you gain is
re-evaluation of your personal qualities, an ability to stand
outside yourself, and to marshal your mental and emotional
energies so that you will continuously master them in the
future. You gain a certain hardness, which need not destroy
your human qualities, but which will enable you to use mental,
emotional and creative powers more effectively in the future.
The beneficial result of this period is self-mastery through
objectivity and detachment. In love matters you may have a
difficult period. In material matters you are likely to mark a
low point. The ego is too much occupied with itself to be
materially effective in the world, but learns the need of
effectiveness as a result of this experience. This square
paves the way for the Moon opposite Saturn which will come in
about 7 years; the more you learn here, the less stress will
be found in the opposition when it comes. During this period
you are able to learn by the experience of others or to help
others with what you have learned by your own experience. What
happens to you here or to those around you should be taken to
heart and applied to yourself. The aim should be
self-discovery through emotional experience: taking your whims
less seriously, that you may take your true virtues more
seriously.

Aug 15, 2004 - Jupiter Square Pluto
This is a meeting of the Mentor and
Transformation principles - perhaps a collision. Jupiter can
inflate optimism to a bursting point. You are closer to
walking on water - or at least trying - than ever before. You
are also closer to the meaning of death. Take care you don't
seek out death or becoming overly controlling of your destiny.
This is a time to let things unfold somewhat at a distance.
Jupiter is opportunity, and chances will come to you during
this transit. This is a great time for study. You will have
powers of concentration; use them to reach deeply into the
ante-chamber of your soul. You will seek out knowledge above
and beyond the call of duty of the class curriculum and ally
yourself with people and books that will transform your
attitudes forever.
Sep 4, 2004 - Mars Opposite Venus
Heightened emotions make romance, which is
favored if you keep it within the bounds of reason and
convention. Impulsive acts, with or without a future, are
frequently found in these recurrent periods. Glamour surrounds
your approach to life; you are susceptible to the opposite sex
and they to you. This transit frequently indicates the time of
marriage within the period of a longer transit that favors it.
If the era of romance is past, this indicates an active and on
the whole satisfactory social period; business progress;
extravagance with money; a sudden urge to go places and do
things - and perhaps a chafing at the marital bit which should
not be taken too seriously. Energies work through emotions and
passions, which in turn work overtime and should be gently
disciplined though not entirely submerged. Often, for obvious
reasons, this transit indicates the conception of children,
especially if it occurs while Mars is conjunct your sun or
conjunct your Mars.
Sep 7, 2004 - Mars Conjunct Jupiter
Opportunities abound, and your energies are up
to them. Optimism runs high, and you can be made to color, and
perhaps prophesy, the life for a long time. Work is abundant
and gratifying; you are popular and lucky. Be careful not to
waste opportunities through trying to do too much at once;
don't spend too much money, either, but make a point of
saving. This ought to be a period of good income, which tends
to make you openhanded and generous, perhaps to a fault. Keep
your eyes and ears open; some of the best forward pushes of
your life will come in these periods when circumstances
combine to give you the rewards of work done in the past and
to open up new doors for the future.
Sep 12, 2004 - Mars Square Pluto
This transit represents a strong alliance of
similar energies. A sense of mystery pervades otherwise
mundane events. Agressiveness peaks. Care should be taken to
secure your holding, protect your possessions and yourself,
for this transit includes some vulnerability to the principle
of redistribution. You might be knocked off your throne for no
apparent reason. You could emerge from this period thinking
the universe is a quixotic, capricious place, or you could
take events as keynotes of respect for structure and
self-care.
Sexual energy will be high. You could find
yourself surrounded by irresistible people, and the tendency
is to think that the veil between you and them is much thinner
than it really is. Take time to treat people respectfully.
Take this opportunity to de-objectify your world view and
adopt a more service-oriented demeanor. Depending on how
successfully you have mastered life's trials, this could be a
time of "icing on the cake". Just make sure the recipients of
your "death blows" are the nasty loitering ghosts in your own
psyche, not the people on the street whom these ghosts
resemble.
Sep 27, 2004 - Saturn Square Mars
Individualism and energy run into obstacles,
events conspire to increase responsibility, which you will at
first take as a personal affront and rebel against. This won't
do you any good unless you are utterly conscienceless and
willing to throw obligations to the wind. A revision of
attitudes is required: you have to bring your personal urges
into line with realities, and can do it in a variety of ways.
Any of these will be all right, so long as it doesn't create a
rebellious spirit in you. Temperament must be forced into the
pattern of life as it is and the more you have to force it,
the more you can be sure that it needs to be forced.
Oct 19, 2004 - Mars Square Mercury
Quick speech, thought and actions make strife
and trouble. Be silent, cagey, noncommittal. The quick retort
makes trouble. Wrong decisions often come in one of these
periods, which recur about every six months and need careful
watching. Sometimes the most casual remark results in a
lasting grudge. Mountains (of trouble) grow out of molehills
(of speech). It is best to be silent.
Oct 28, 2004 - Mars Opposite Moon
Fatigue leads to strife, so relax. There may
be illness and you may lose your grip on things. Refuse to
take yourself too seriously. Go to bed and rest instead of
brooding; you'll avoid strife and trouble thereby. Force no
issues. Energy may find its expression in some glamorous
romance which may or may not be important, depending on other
long-range transits in force at the same time with this.
Nov 4, 2004 - Mars Opposite Mars
Ideas are numerous but likely to prove more
bother than they are worth; this not a good time for starting
new ventures. Aim to quell restlessness, and stick to the line
established about a year before, giving it perhaps some new
twist, but not deviating from it in any radical particular.
Temperament runs high; emotions are likely to be troublesome;
self-will is an obstacle. It is a good time to go away on a
vacation. But it is a bad time to try to get away from any
established thing permanently. In the life check-up, these
periods, recurring about every two years, mark tension,
stress, new obligations connected with established things -
sometimes a break or change which, in all probability, did not
work out as well as it was expected to and forced a new start
again a year or less later.
Nov 21, 2004 - Mars Square Sun
Domestic matters are important. This transit
frequently times a move from one house (or town or locality)
to another, or some important decision in the private life.
New starts work out if well considered and unmotivated by
temperament. Social activity is increased; you have lots of
friends around you. This is a good time to begin new ventures
for quick completion, ventures which have a bearing on your
longer-range plans. This is a good time to clean house,
redecorate, etc. The home is likely to be upset, and it's wise
to make the upsetting literal and to some good purpose,
instead of figurative and quarrelsome.

Dec 27, 2004 - Mars Square Uranus
This transit is not usually important except
as a marker of temperament and minor strife. But at one of
these periods some major break due to temperament - some
sudden shift in the pace and direction of the life - is likely
to occur. The individuality is suddenly awakened to broader
horizons, greater worlds to conquer, and determined to shake
off the shackles of restraint. In undisciplined persons this
will mark periodic temperament, rages, rebellion and strife;
also accidents and setbacks due to lack of nervous
coordination. In normally disciplined individuals all but one
or two of these periods should be comparatively inconspicuous.
But the one or two may be memorable and probably nothing to be
proud of.
